[Updated: 2026/4/20]Regarding Battle Balance Adjustments After Ver. 2.00
- Notice
Thank you to everyone who has been playing Ver.2.00.
The development team is continuously reviewing the feedback we have received since the update's release.
For these battle balance adjustments, we focused on reviewing the overall satisfaction and playability of matches while preserving the individuality of each character.
With that in mind, we are currently prioritizing our investigation into issues that affect the fairness of matches, unintended behaviors, and elements that have a significant impact on battles.
Specifically, we are focusing our review on the following items:
- A behavior where Happy Chaos can force the opponent into continuous blockstrings under certain conditions.
- Unintended behavior occurring by using Taunt in relation to the action restrictions after whiffing a normal throw.
- Differences in Counter Blitz pushback distance depending on the character.
- A Tension Penalty being applied when activating Counter Blitz.
We are currently reviewing these matters, including possible responses.
In addition to the items listed here, we will continue monitoring feedback received after the update.
(Update: April 20, 2026)
We are currently reviewing and adjusting the fixes for the items mentioned above in our development environment, and we plan to release a patch during May.
At the same time, we are also working on fixes for the following items:
[Millia Rage]
Follow-up attacks can be performed after the final hit of Bad Moon.
[Bridget]
The hurtbox at the feet disappears during the startup of Rolling Movement when the yo-yo is not deployed.
[Testament]
The projectile of Unholy Diver is at a higher altitude than intended.
[Asuka R♯]
Mana does not enter the depleted state even when casting spells with a Mana cost higher than the remaining amount during the duration of Recover Mana (Continuous)..
In addition to the above, we are working towards fixing other confirmed issues in this upcoming patch. For more details, please check "[Ver.2.00] Known Issues”.
At the same time, we believe it is also important to observe not only the initial reactions, but also how the environment and strategies continue to develop over time.
Any necessary actions will be carefully considered based on play conditions and changes in the battle environment, and we will share further information once decisions have been made.
Thank you for your continued support of GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-.
